Anjengo Fort

Situated near Anguthengu in Varkala, Anjengo Fort, established by the British East India Company in 1690, was the first signaling station for ships arriving from England. Being a place of scenic beauty along with historical significance, Anjengo is an ideal location for an evening walk. It still preserves the remnants of the old English Fort and has a cemetery which has the remains of the British family.
